This work is a perfect fusion of the natural world, craftsmanship, state of the art computer tools, and traditional art production.

I harvested a water lily from the pond at my studio, and scanned it into a high resolution 3D file, where I spent time in software, designing it into this graceeful necklace pendant.

It went through several proofing cycles to refine the design, each time printing it in studio using a high resolution laser additive printer. When I was finally pleased, off to the foundry, where it was cast using the same lost wax process in use for thousands of years.

The antiqued sterling silver shows off all the rich detail, letting you see into the depths of the flower.
